Utawarerumono
Though this show is getting some decent reviews from friends and acquaintances , I have not seen it. Aside from the fact that it's title is a mouthfull, and there are, for some reason, wolf people, I'm unsure of exactly what it's about ...
...and having read this series primer...I'm even less sure. (click pic for supah size)

I only saw a few episodes before it was licensed, and that was plenty for me... my opinion: wingtips down.
The girls are cute, and the reaction you get when you touch their tails is fun, but that about covers it for me.
From what I've read, sometime after I dropped the series, it turns from a sword & sorcery-type thing to a mecha series. If true, "ugh" is all I can say... glad I DIDN'T stick with it.
I'm a 37 year old UPS employee, college student, Coast Guard reservist, amateur diver and general geek. I hope to study in Japan in a few years and I'd like to move to the overseas territories, especially Guam. I do lean a bit to the right politically.....but you knew that if you looked at my blog.
I want to live long enough to walk on the Moon or Mars before I go.
It is important to note that the views on this blog are my own and not those of UPS or the United States Coast Guard Reserve.

The formula does not have to suck, per se. Look at Samurai 7 for one thing. But yes, I was told that Utawarerumono was quite empty aside from girls.
