Exam heck is over.
There as a terrible scare when the computer ate both my last paper and the takehome portion of a final exam last night.
There was much furious typing today but both were turned in minutes before the deadline.
The day is saved :)

The rest of the week will be consumed going to a welcome to America/going away for some exchange students.
LOTS of yardwork.
Taking care of some Coast Guard matters.
The long neglected trailer repairs.
...and sleep.
Blogging will become less intermittent by weeks end.

In the meantime, I found this on my hard drive recently, and though I don't know the source....I must say it cries out for captioning.

Update: Stephen DenBeste seems to have nailed down the source as nekoboard.net but the artist remains uncredited for now as I can't read Korean at all. Meanwhile, Andrew links in the comments to another less SFW piece by the same artist.
Yes, I'd missed the thigh-highs first time around....post has been fixed.
What is the appeal of the NAZI thing? I mean this goes well beyond "bad-girl" fixation, it's practically like devil worship, though not much worse, I suppose, than the Che' or Mao chic on college campuses.

One of the Brickmuppet's Crack Team of Science Babes puts the lab back together after a particularly ill-conceived (but entertaining) experiment involving dark matter, Diet Coke and Mentos.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of the Duck Gawd of the Munuvians she has been tentatively identified as being from a dating game. Named, unsurprisingly, Noel3.

In fact, most of the science babes have been a bear to ascribe credit to. After some fruitless inquiries on anime message boards I recently learned that the vast majority of them come either from dating games or (faux shock...indignance) H-games...those games for lonely men ...who have more money than me...but no more chance of dating.

I don't think any of them are available in the states. I'm disinclined to really look into this in any depth given how badly I curled my nosehairs when I found the full set of one of them...

Anyhoo, here at Brickmuppet Blog we appreciate more than most that education is expensive and that the Science Babes degrees had to be paid for somehow.

So at the Brickmuppet Institute for Previously Wayward Genius Women, we will continue to delve into the mysteries of environmentally friendly energy, manned spaceflight and mysteries of the deep, no matter what dirt some smarty pants OTAKU may think he can insult our staff with with.

Even More Intermittent Than Usual....

We are going into the final 2 weeks of Christmas hell at UPS. Between those 2 weeks is a Coast Guard drill weekend. I'm also working on my trailer every day to fix outlets destroyed by an old lightening strike, re-install central heat (yay!) and generally turn it into the swinging bachelor pad du' Ken. :)
Thus I'm likely to not do much postage for a bit.

So I leave you with this bit of nondenominational holiday cheer.

It's Christmas at UPS, or as we UPSers say...%#@&*^%$!

At our building we've consistently been exceeding our max volume for last year for a while now (It's not even Dec. yet). The volume is absolutely unreal and the depth of stupidity exibited by some shipping depts is astonishing. (Yes people...you should TAPE THE BOXES SHUT!!!)

Anyway, the good news is that I'm not short of overtime...the bad news is that my free time is pretty much nonexistant right now.

Oh dang.....



If this is the worst economy since Hoover...I wonder why he gets such a bad rap....
