Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope you all have a very happy and safe Thanksgiving holiday.

I'm beat, working 14-15 hour days at UPS, I just did a reserve weekend and have had little down time (or sleep) so it gets easy to gripe, but both my time in the Coast Guard and having a job at UPS are things to be thankfully for.

As the storm blows outside I'm thankful for a place to live that's warm.
As I blog here at Web City, I'm thankful for the barista babes of chaos and their superb mochas.
I'm thankful for the surgery that saved my life at 6 months ...and that kept me from being a cripple 2 and a half years ago.
I'm thankful for being able to speak my mind without fear of decapitation, for being able to write without fear and for being able to strive to change my government.
I'm thankful for being able to pursue an education, however fitfully, as this is a right out of reach of too many.
I'm thankful for my friends...
They are far smaller in number than they used to be, and I now see few of those often but they are of higher quality than most ever have the privilege of experiencing.

Thank you all.

What a great list of gratitudes. I guess things at UPS will get worse before they get better, with the Christmas season upon us. I hope you get a day off now and then!
