This is a bit of a milestone for fuel cells. This solid oxide fuel cell runs off of natural gas and is astoundingly efficient.

This fuel cell runs off Natural Gas (methane basically) so doesn't require the complications of hydrogen refrigeration and storage.
I do wonder given the efficiency of this thing if bio generated methane from sewage, waste or termite farts might be sufficient to sustain a big chunk of our power needs ( I still think that we need to be developing nuclear power better than we are).
Could this, and a methane reactor as septic tank provide off grid power for isolated homes.
