A lot of speculation is brewing about the speciffics of the upcoming space-speech.
A few facts are coming out, it looks like the International Space Station will not be pursued after it is completed. I gather that it will be turned over to the Europeans.
It looks like the space shuttle will be retired without an imediate replacement.
Most interesting to me is the rumored CEV the crewed exploration vehicle. It is apperantly going to replace the orbital space plane and be superficially simillar to a big Apollo capsuel. According to an article in the VA Pilot, it will be configurable for LEO Lunar and even interplanetary manned missions.
Anyway, I'm hoping this goes well and it doesn't stymie the budding civillian projects.
