Well, I've been on a very brief stint of active duty (actually 7 days of drills).
This was a QUITE productive stint as I got 2 qualification books signed off and boarded nearly as many vessels as I had in the previous 3 years!
I have, as usual, no tales of daring-do, but I got to go to sea on an actual Coast Guard cutter (as opposed to a smallboat) for the first time in several years.
