Hat Tip: Hobby space



The lander seem really big compared to the old LEM.
Like a lot of people, I'm miffed that it is nonreuseable, but I wonder if its upgradeable to single stage at some point, and/or if the lower stage is intended to be left as a shelter or other base infrastructure somewhere down the line.

The capsule - reusable. The lander is intended to be an infrastructure leave-behind (at least right now it is). I think it would be fair to characterize it as intentionally cannibaliz-able.
Yeah, this looks to me to be a lot like the Apollo Aplications Progect, except much more robust.
