The planes will have a burn time of only 4 minutes according to the league website, which means that boost-glide timing and tactics as well as pit crew performance will be vital. Also the planes will have kerosene/LOX motors for lots of orange flamey stuff so this looks to actually be an interesting race turning on skill as much as performance.
I'm not a big NASCAR fan but this looks pretty cool and supports the X prize folks so I'm gonna definitely tune in!
